Christian Park Softball
Try-outs were this weekend. Here is what I know. There will be two major teams, coached by Rita and Dan. There will be one Jr. team, coach by myself.
I have 10 girls signed up to play on our Jr. team. We still need a couple more. Stop by and sign up!
Our team still needs a sponser. If you or your company is interested in sponsering our team, please contact me. Uniform and field sponserships are still availible.
The University of Indianapolis has agreed to put on a softball clinic for us. I am starting to work on the details of the event and will keep you posted.
Park clean up, this past weekend, went well. Construction on the remodeled concession stand was completed. The fields were cleaned and graded. The sheds were cleaned and organized. The IndyParks people are going to remove several old trees this week, as some coach prepare for try-outs this weekend.
The boy’s minor team and girl’s major tryouts are this weekend. As for our Jr. Girls, I have a list of 15 players from last year. To my knowledge 5 have signed up already, one will not be returning, two I could not get a hold of. The rest I have either talk to or left messages, so they would know about sign ups.
Several girls, I have talked to are playing for school this year, that's great! Our games don't start till after July 4th, so most of you will be able to play for both. Once your season is done at school, you can join right in with CPLL.
