Rain, Rain, Rain, well you can tell its softball season, another Broad Ripple game was rain out yesterday and today's game doesn't look much better.

On Monday, I watch Broad Ripple vs. Tech. Sadie did an excellent job pitching for Tech. Dena, who had the advantage of years play at Christian Park with Sadie, was able to smack a long high fly ball to center field. Unfortunately Tech has a good center fielder that caught the ball. Broad Ripple did rally in the bottom of the 5th inning, making just one run, for the game. Good game Tech.

I heard from John that he will be coaching a Big League Girl Softball team this year, that would be 15, 16, 17 year olds. After these last two games, I'd really like to see Dean on a team that can win.

The old coach in me is really having a hard time here, watching the high schooler's play. I'm not one to usually complain, however, the coaching at Broad Ripple is not improving. To be honest, neither teams that they have played hit the ball to score, it was all on errors and walks. Things like the catcher, with a runner on first and third, she would throw to second, letting the third base runner score. Agh, it's frustrating. Balls, rolling by players and players not calling "I got the ball!” just to watch it bounce on the ground between them.

Anyway, I would really like to help John out with coaching the team, because I know they have great potential this year. I just don't think I can with the baby, and activities that both Dena and Daniel have planned for this summer. I'll just wait and see. Keep the faith.
