Christian Park Softball
Next game is Saturday at 4:30 at Indiana Central. We will be there about 3:30 and start warming up shortly after. We will be playing their third team this time. I have watched them play, and we look like an evenly matched. It will be a good game for everyone.
Pratice Thursday at 6:00 on the Howe softball field.
Last nights game was cancelled. Lawrenece was late getting there team together because of school ball. Thanks players for showing up, everyone was there. We did manage to watch the She Devil, our major team, play. I, also, stopped by Lowel and watched the major Bad News Girls. It was a long game. At any rate, I did have a chance to talk to the Lowel President (or maybe vice-p). They will have a girls Jr/Sr team this year, however they our just now drafting the team. Hopefully, we will be able to add Lowel, Community and Lawrence to our schedule, probably at the end of June. That will be six more games, I hope your all excited about having this many games, I know I am.

Congratulation to the Shortridge Panther's for winning the IPS All City Championship. The middle school team of 7 & 8 graders had a flawless season winning every game, including the championship. Good job ladies!
Well, our second game didn't go so well. There pitcher was fast and we just could pull a hit off of them. Our ladies kept their heads in the game and stuck it out to the end. I was proud of them for not quiting and trying their best to win the game.
So, let's move on! Have a nice 3 day vacation and come back strong. We play on Tuesday at Lawrence Park. Game time is 5:45, so be there 5:15-5:30 It's a fabulous new park located at Franklin Rd. and about 46th street.
Thursday's game is TBA (to be anouced). I am trying to get ahold of Community and setup a game. However, there seems to be great confusion there and they may not even have a team this year. If they don't we will probably add a player or two from there league. I should have it confirmed by Tuesday.
Our second game is tonight at Indiana Central. It starts at 5:45, so please have players that by 5:30. We will be playing against the Reds, this time around.
WOAH!! What a game. Our first game of the year was against Indiana Central's "A's". Rachael started us out with a strong bat, cracking her second pitch between first and second base. She landed safely on first. Stealing bases and kicking up the dirt she scored our only run in the first inning.
Thrilled with the start of the game, our ladies Rangers took to the field. Sadie pitching and Paige catching. The A's hit hard and by good playing and no errors on our part, scored 4 runs. With a little work and several beautiful throws to first base, we were up to bat again.
Boy, did our bats work. Even quicker were our steals. We took the lead by 1.
Venturing back on the field, several great plays were made. A third strike, dropped ball let the A's running for first, when Paige threw an amazing ball from the back of the stop over the dugout fence and nailed first base for the perfect out. Good job!
The A's kept slamming the base toward second base, where Brittany, Paula, in the first inning stopped everything. Then excellent husling by Dena, Mariah in the later inning, guarding second. Third base was not easy place for the other team either. It was skillfully played by Heather and Melissa. As the game continued on into the cool night, our score kept growing. Great RBI's by Amanda, Sadie, and Paige.
Finally, after the six inning, the coach from the A's called for the game. The 10 run rule, please. We responded, try 14 runs!

I will be at Christian Park today (Tuesday May 20) between 5:00 - 5:15, to pickup players or if you want to follow me to the game.
Our schedule is now avalible. We have two games this week! Tuesday, May 20th and Thursday May 22nd. Both games are at Indiana Central at 5:45, so be that at 5:15-5:30. Please, we need everyone there. Need a ride or directions please let me know.
We still could use two more girls for our team. Now that school ball is almost over, have them stop by and sign up.
Pitching Client is Sunday @ 9:00. Pitchers and catchers should plan on attending. This event is open to all girls and all ages.
Practice is Saturday @ 11:30 at Howe. Everyone needs to be there!! I will be putting player in the posistions for our starting games. I am still trying to nail down the schedule and hope to hand it out at Saturday's practice.
